The third in a series of four travel-themed timepieces takes us to the Big Apple, where Disney Mickey Mouse and his faithful furry friend Pluto exuberantly explore NYC from the back seat of a classic Checker Taxi. The silver-tone stainless steel 40mm case encircles a black dial with original artwork by Disney artists John and Shelly Loter showcasing the two friends in a nighttime cityscape filled with skyscrapers. Illuminated on the dial are the hands, moon, and the cab’s headlights and license plate, and the black leather strap is lined in yellow as another nod to the iconic Gotham vehicle. The case back is etched with a retro suitcase with three destination sticker surrounded by the words “Time to Fly” and “Since 1928”—the year Mickey Mouse first appeared on the silver screen. This watch is sustainably powered by any light with Eco-Drive technology and never needs a battery.
